The bright yellow box arrived with snacks and the aforementioned Snaky Mouse, long story short you take the snacks and stuff the mouse full of it and the cats get to bat it around knocking the treats out. Espeon loved this...well kinda. She was far more interested in the box itself and I had to hide it to get her to play with the toy, the box smelled like ALL THE SNACKS and the toy was a toy, goober.
So, once the tortie blur figured out 'oh hey, the toy is where the snacks are' the real fun began. She nudged it with her nose several times and started making the saddest noises, she just could not figures it out. So I smacked the toy and a treat fell out, and then she did that a few times, and that was the end of that! She loves it, when she wants snacks instead of mewling in front of the closet (where I hide them) she smacks the toy into the wall a couple times.
After giving it much love, I would say Espeon gives the toy and the snacks her spastic seal of approval. Tao on the other hand, well, my hipster cat is too cool for toys and snacks, she is playing games on the kindle instead and disdains all this movement.
